Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

TribeListings is a directory of tribes (networking groups and communities) and a set of tools we recommend. It is operated by GrowWithAI, Inc., 603 E Fort King St. #48, Ocala, FL 34471 ("TribeListings", "we", "us"). This policy covers tribelistings.com and everything served from it.

2. What we collect

Members

• Account details: your email address, which we verify when you sign in, and any name you add.
• Profile details you choose to add: a profile, one-pagers, a profile video, and the tribes or chapters you join or connect with.
• Sign-in records: single-use sign-in links and a session record, so you stay signed in.
• Views of your profile: daily totals only (see section 6).

Tribe owners and listing contacts

• Owner account details: the email address you sign in with, and your name.
• Listing content: tribe names, descriptions, meeting details, sign-up addresses, logos and photos you submit. Edits are held for review before they go live.
• Claims and ownership checks: the details you give us when you claim a listing, and the email address we use to verify it.

People who contact us or send us a request

• Contact and claim forms: your name, email address and message.
• Recommendations: the name of a tribe or tool you recommend, and your details if you give them so we can follow up.

Alert subscribers

• Subscription details: your email address and the alert filters you choose (for example, a tribe tag or a tool category), plus a record of the alerts we sent you.

Payments

• When an owner buys a paid plan or sponsored placement, our payment processor, Stripe, takes the payment. We receive the plan, the amount paid, the date, and Stripe's customer and subscription identifiers. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Website visits

• Listing views: we count views of each listing per day, with the referring website's host name and the visitor's country, taken from Cloudflare's request data. We do not store IP addresses for these counts, and we exclude known bots.
• Outbound clicks: we count clicks on links to tools and websites from our pages, so tool and listing owners can see how much traffic they get.
• Server logs: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) for security and troubleshooting.

3. How we use it

• To run the directory, show listings, and let members and tribe owners sign in and manage their information.
• To process join requests, connection requests, claims, recommendations and contact messages.
• To take payment for paid plans and sponsored placements, and to keep plan status correct.
• To send alerts and account emails you have asked for, and sign-in links.
• To show owners how their listing is performing, and members how their profile is performing.
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
• To meet legal and tax obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis (for example, under the EU or UK GDPR), we rely on performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing the site, your consent (for example, when you subscribe to alerts), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with providers that help us run the site, under contracts that limit how they may use it, and only what each one needs:

We may also disclose information if the law or a valid legal process requires it, to protect the rights and safety of people or of TribeListings, or as part of a merger, sale or transfer of the business. In that case this policy continues to apply to your information.

5. What other people can see

• Listings are public. A tribe's name, description, area, meeting details and other listing information are shown to anyone who visits the site. Owners choose what they submit, and we review edits before they go live.
• Member profiles are private by default. You choose whether your profile is private, visible to members, or public. Only approved members of a tribe can see its member list.
• Tribe owners can see the join requests for their tribe, and the name and profile details the requester shared with the request.
• Other members can see what you share with them under your visibility setting, and the connections you accept.

6. Cookies and analytics

We set one strictly necessary cookie, tl_session, when you sign in as a member or tribe owner. It keeps you signed in, is HttpOnly and Secure, and is removed when you sign out. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Our listing and profile view counts are stored as daily totals without cookies and without IP addresses. If we enable Cloudflare Web Analytics, it does not set cookies either. If we ever add a tool that uses cookies or similar storage for other purposes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.

Google Fonts is loaded from Google's servers, which may log your IP address and browser details as described in section 4.

7. Advertising and sponsored placements

We do not show third-party advertising on TribeListings. We do not use advertising networks, ad pixels, or behavioral tracking, and we do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics tool that tracks you across websites.

Some tribes pay for a sponsored placement on the home page or on a tag page. A placement is shown for the tribe and date range it was bought for. It is not chosen using your personal information. Sponsored placements are labelled "Sponsored" and their links are marked as sponsored.

The tools we recommend are chosen by us. If a tool pays for a placement, we will label it. When you click a link to a tool or tribe website, that site receives the usual details your browser sends to any website, and its own privacy policy applies from then on.

8. Email we send

• Sign-in links for members and tribe owners. Each link can be used once.
• Account and request messages, such as a join request decision, a connection request, or a confirmation of a claim or recommendation.
• Alerts, if you subscribe. New alerts require you to confirm your address first, and every alert has an unsubscribe link.

We send email from contact@tribelistings.com and related addresses on tribelistings.com. Replies to our messages go to our team, and you can also reach us at privacy@tribelistings.com.

9. How long we keep it

• Member accounts and profiles: until you delete your account. Deleting it removes your profile, memberships, connections, one-pagers, videos, view totals and sessions.
• Tribe owner details and listing history: while you are an owner of the listing, and afterwards as needed for our records of changes and disputes.
• Contact, claim and recommendation messages: for as long as needed to answer and follow up, and then deleted or kept only as long as a legal reason requires.
• Alert subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
• Payment records: for as long as needed for accounting, tax and dispute purposes, generally up to seven years. Stripe keeps its own records under its terms.
• Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

Deleted data may remain in backups for a short period until those backups expire.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, get a copy, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict some uses, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. You will not be treated differently for using these rights.

• Download your member data as JSON from your profile at /members/me/export/.
• Delete your member account from your profile at /members/me/delete/. You will be asked to type your email address to confirm.
• Other requests, such as correcting a listing or deleting a contact message, email privacy@tribelistings.com. We will confirm who you are before acting, and reply within the time the law requires.

If you are in the EU, UK or another place with a data protection authority, you can also complain to it.

11. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls for our staff and our systems, single-use sign-in links instead of passwords, and providers with strong security practices. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.

12. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal information from the EU, UK or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses, where the law requires them.

13. Children

TribeListings is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

14. Links to other sites

TribeListings links to other websites, including tribe websites and the tools we recommend. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. This policy applies only to tribelistings.com.

15. Changes

We will post changes to this policy here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will tell members and owners by email before it takes effect.
